Dr. DeAnne Shvartsman has been providing excellence in eye care on the North Shore since 1993.
As a licensed and board certified* optometrist who graduated from the Illinois College of Optometry, cum laude, Dr. Shvartsman carefully examines, diagnoses, and treats all disorders that affect the eye or vision. In addition to training in eye diseases and disorders, Dr. Shvartsman is also trained in anatomy, biochemistry, and physiology. With this background, Dr. Shvartsman is trained to recognize a range of health issues; such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetes and hypertension. Dr. Shvartsman works hard to stay current on the latest advances in eye health and vision care and regularly attends continuing education seminars and advanced training courses. It is because of Dr. Shvartsman’s dedication to continuing education that her patients receive the most modern and progressive vision care available.
Shvartsman Eyecare, PC is proudly owned by Dr. Shvartsman. Her business has always been about providing the best eye care possible. She has always worked independently of the associated optical, assuring that any recommendations for visual correction through the purchase of glasses is not one she profits from. Any prescriptions written may be taken to the optical of your choice.
Dr. Shvartsman is also a long time resident of the Northshore and has resided in Wilmette since 1994. As a mother of 4 she is very active and connected to the community in which she takes great pride in serving with a personal touch. She is also an avid Chicago sports fan, especially the Chicago Blackhawks! You might be surprised to know that she plays competitive hockey herself on the Women’s Central Hockey League’s Cougars Grey Team.
